In 1994, John Mahroukian tasted his first premium smoke and realized he could make something better at a lower cost and thus began the JM brand in California. The company’s flagship line is Espanola 1996, which aims to put premium cigars at the forefront while also making them accessible to everyone.
This 5x50 maduro robusto sports a Connecticut Broadleaf binder wrapped in a zesty and toothy San Andres Mexican wrapper and includes filler from the Dominican Republic. It offers a medium-to-full-bodied smoke with flavor notes of leather, roasted nuts, sweet cedar, cocoa, and, rounding out the cigar on the back end, a faint floral note. If you’re looking to take a step up from your everyday smoke, this cigar is a great one to start with.

This cigar is sure to challenge your pallet with its full-bodied smoke and flavor that cannot be replicated. While smoking, you can detect notes of wood, espresso, toast, pepper, savory chocolate, and a creamy finish.
